BUSY 2020?!
Hey Everyone!
Been a little bit silent here for some time since, well, the world kind of went to shit in 2020. With that, we all collectively have been pushing as hard as we can to get as much accomplished during these dark times.
Since my last update we launched an entirely new line of collectibles with Incendium. This ranges from new statues, to new action figures, and NOW ALL NEW COMIC BOOKS!!! These new books are all under the brand new publishing arm - OPUS! Opus has all new titles from some of the biggest acts/names in Metal and more. Ranging Joe Satriani’s Crystal Planet, Disturbed Dark Messiah, Cradle of Filth Maledictus Athenaeum, Evanescence Echoes from the Void, Exodus’s Tales of the Damned, Helloween Seeker of the Seven Keys, and more being announced this year! It has been a wild time from production delays from China being shut down for a good portion of the year due to Delta, and the massively insane coal shortage. It’s hard to be a manufacturer during this chaos!!! But we have persevered and will be delivering some AWESOME, truly awesome, new action figures this year alongside the new titles. Including one of my VERY Favorite Hip Hop groups - Flatbush Zombies!!! (JUST INSANE)
ON top of those updates we also launched our very own clothing line this last year. Threadful Things has been making T-shirts, Art Prints, and now Skull Candles, Resin Skulls, enamel pins, and more! This has been on Laura’s mind as well as mine since about 2017. The response so far has been really great. Lots of positivity from the community and I’ve even launched with one of my own designs on the shirts! What a confidence boost to see all of the love that design has been getting.
NOW, with the digital space being what it is I have also been working in the NFT realm. I’ve launched my VERY first brand in that space called Bummer Gallery. These designs are something I’ve been toying with for about three years and felt the best application was for them to be NFT’s as well as some of the photography you’ve seen on here can now be collected in that space! Check out bummergallery.io for more details on bummer gallery and https://opensea.io/collection/blakebot for your chance to get some 1/1’s of my photography.
I’ve also been painting more which has been really great, finally getting back to something I TRULY can’t get enough of. I took a painting course with Beau Mendes at Pasadena City College. We began that class in person and quickly needed to take to Zoom classes as it began shortly before the mandatory stay at home orders came down in 2020. Now that we are solidly in 2022, I’d like to take more time this year to paint and expand some of the techniques I have learned and also try some more water color painting.
I’ve also been writing these last few years, which I felt at the beginning was out of league/depth since I’m such a VISUAL communicator rather than a written/spoken. But all that has to be put aside when the art takes you where it takes you. I’ve been making a few strides down this avenue with a few more things I’m certain I will be sharing soon.
For all of those who are reading this, thank you for taking the time to keep up with all of what we have going on , and look forward to adding more here soon!
